Rectifier transformer and power transformer
Power transformers generally refer to transformers powered by electric traction systems. Most of the transformers in the power grid are power transformers.
The rectifier transformer is a transformer dedicated to the rectifier system. The function of the rectifier transformer:
1. Is the appropriate voltage to supply the rectification system,
2. It is to reduce the pollution of the power grid caused by the waveform distortion caused by the rectification system.
Power transformers often use Y/Y12 connection transformers.
In order to reduce the influence of the higher harmonics generated by the thyristor rectification on the grid, the rectifier transformer is often used in the △/Y11 connection method.
